Military inspired apparel is popping up all over this fall – in colors, structure, or straight up camouflage. I really like this look if done right. Pair camo with a solid, and structured jackets with a pencil skirt. Don’t overdo it with the camo (one piece usually does the trick). I’m actually getting a little nostalgic writing this post – when I was about 12 or 13, I had a camouflage skirt that I absolutely loved. I probably wore it every other day. Makes me wish I still had it (not that it would fit anymore – LOL).

Four new modest clothing sites added to the “Modest Clothes” page – check it out! Also if you know of any more websites that can be added to this list, please let me know!
Prints have been a big thing for the last few years – flowers, stripes, polka dots, etc. This trend doesn’t seem to be going anywhere and a print I’m really liking right now is Tribal or Aztec. It’s a fun print to play with, dressing up or down or wearing on just an accessory piece.
Wow. It’s really been almost a year since I’ve written on my blog. Time flies when you’re having fun. This wasn’t quite how I saw it when I started writing on here, but as we dreamers find out sooner than later, we usually bite off more than we can chew :). I’m back though, and going to try keeping this up-to-date.
Things have definitely changed in the last year – but first, the things that haven’t changed – I’m still madly in love with my wonderful husband – Paul, still youth leaders at our church (which is still the same church, bethelapostolictabernacle.com), still running Cherished, still enjoy clothes/shopping, interior design, Autumn, and Starbucks 🙂
Now what has changed? We’ve moved to a different house, I’ve been married to that wonderful husband for 4 years now, and that same wonderful husband got a new (so much better) job….AND…for the BIGGEST change…WE HAD A BABY! That is definitely life changing :).
We named him Reagan Liam (nope, not after anyone – but we do like President Reagan). He was born July 4th at 1:47 in the morning. He definitely is a little firecracker – due June 29th, was induced July 2nd, but he was determined to hold out until the 4th. He was 8 lbs 7 oz and 21 1/2 inches – the most handsome baby ever to be born (no, I’m not biased). Time has flown and he’s already 2 1/2 MONTHS OLD!!!! He’s smiley and loves laughing and talking to our living room fan (takes after his dad that way – LOL ). And now for the proud mommy pics!
Well that’s my year in a nutshell – it’s been a fun time. So back to blogging. This might turn into something a little different than I originally thought – I still want to talk to girls, but maybe moms too, still will write and post pics of outfits, etc. and at some point I still want to sew and sell clothes. So we’ll see where this goes….You never know what you’ll read on here so stay tuned! (Oh and spread the word and add your comments so we can become friends along the way 🙂 )
